Engraved Brick at the Veterans Overlook
Thank you for your investment in Veteran’s Plaza, at The Burlington Arboretum at Willowbrook Park. On this site, 90 years ago, the former American Legion Post was built, and New Leaf Society wishes to honor the military service of local veterans — past, present, and future — through this public space. Through your contribution, you are helping this memorial take shape.
Bricks will be installed on a monthly basis. NOTE: Due to production delays, the current turnaround is estimated 2-3 Months.
The lettering will be sandblasted into the pavers with color applied for contrast.
New Leaf Society commits to one replacement of the paver within the first five years. Owner assumes responsibility thereafter.
TERMS & CONDITIONS: Pay attention to lettering and formatting. Proof carefully. We will engrave from this form exactly as written. Requested lettering MUST NOT exceed the space allowed. Spaces and punctuation are treated as characters. We reserve the right to use abbreviations and/or alterations of the provided information, at our discretion, to ensure the best possible layout. Lettering will be sandblasted into the pavers with color applied for contrast. Once your order has been processed, we will send you an email confirmation and tentative installation date. Please be patient; production delays sometimes occur. NLS works hard to ensure a reasonable turnaround time. NLS commits to (1) replacement paver within the first five years, if needed. Owner assumes responsibility thereafter. Bricks should recognize an individual who serves/served in one (or more) of the five military branches listed above. Alamance County veterans groups may inquire with NLS about creating a brick to recognize their organization. All content should be tasteful and appropriate and should align with the mission and vision of the Arboretum. Content may be reviewed by the Arboretum Advisory Board and is governed by the Arboretum’s established standards and by the City of Burlington’s policy for Public Art, Memorial and Honorary Donations (PAHM).
